Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Tower Technician to join our field service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunication towers and equipment, ensuring reliable network performance for 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G technologies. This role requires working at heights, operating specialized equipment, and adhering to strict safety standards. The Tower Technician will play a critical role in supporting telecommunication infrastructure expansion and maintenance projects.
Responsibilities
- Want experienced Nokia microwave
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication towers and related equipment.
- Conduct fiber splicing and cabling to ensure optimal signal transmission.
- Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts safely for tower access and equipment installation.
- Execute rigging, welding, and other construction tasks as needed for tower assembly or repair.
- Climb towers using appropriate safety gear to perform inspections and repairs.
- Manage high voltage and low voltage electrical systems with strict safety protocols.
- Assist with the setup and operation of field equipment including cabling and antenna systems.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance.
- Follow all safety procedures related to working at heights, electrical hazards, and heavy equipment operation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in telecommunication field service or related technical roles.
- Knowledge of high voltage, low voltage systems, fiber splicing, cabling, and telecommunication standards.
- Experience with 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G network technologies is preferred.
- Ability to operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other heavy machinery safely.
- Climbing experience with proper safety harnesses and rigging skills required.
- Welding skills are a plus for structural repairs or modifications.
- Strong understanding of rigging techniques for lifting heavy components at heights.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
- Physical ability to work at heights for extended periods while maintaining safety standards.
