Computer Numerical Control Machinist

CNC Machinist- Swiss Setup

Hours: full time

Pay Range: $28-35/hr depending on experience

Job Responsibilities:

· Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type Lathes for production runs

· Program parts using G-code and/or CAM software

· Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings

· Perform first article inspections and in-process quality checks

· Debug and optimize programs to improve cycle time and reduce scrap

· Select and install tooling, offsets, and machine paraments

· Troubleshooting machining issues and resolve production problems

· Maintain tight tolerances and ensure part quality meets specifications

· Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on process improvements

· Perform routine maintenance and ensure machines are in proper working condition

Job Requirements

· 4-7 years of experience with CNC machining

· 2 years of experience with Swiss Machines

· Proficiency in G-code programming and editing at the machine

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T

· Experience with prevision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

· Experience with CAM software (Mastercam preferred)

· Experience machining tight-tolerance, high-volume components (aerospace)

· Must pass a federal background check

· Must pass a federal drug test
