Where You Will Work Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode. What You Will Do Perform routine maintenance activities. Develop solutions for various maintenance situations. Complete Work Orders and other maintenance documentation. Train and mentor maintenance employees. Perform other duties as required. Ability to Operate a 11”, 20”, 24” and 32” Lathe, Milling Machine, Horizontal Milling Machine, Marvel Band Saw, Drill Press. Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English. Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards. High School Diploma or GED Experience working on 4100XPA, 4100XPB/C and 4100 XPC/AC Komatsu Electric Shovels Experience working on PV271, PV271XC Epiroc Diesel Drills
