Skills That Get You Hired
- 6 months of previous experience in extrusion, plastics manufacturing, or industrial production
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in a factory environment
- Experience operating forklifts or material handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends
On the Job
- Set up and operate sheet extrusion equipment including extruders, dies, chill rolls, conveyors, and slitting systems
- Monitor machine performance, gauges, and material flow to ensure consistent product quality
- Adjust equipment settings to maintain production efficiency and quality standards
- Support thermoforming operations as needed
- Perform material handling and maintain proper supply levels (filters, screens, etc.)
- Complete production documentation and reports
- Conduct minor maintenance and repairs (pump seals, bolts, die polishing)
- Notify maintenance of major repair needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety programs, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives
