Education Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Technical training in electrical assembly, industrial maintenance, manufacturing technology, or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and assembly documentation.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial equipment, machinery, or machine assembly.
- Experience assembling complex equipment, machinery, or production systems.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and material handling equipment.
- Experience with equipment startup, testing, troubleshooting, repair, or rebuild activities preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic understanding of electrical and electronic systems.
- Ability to identify assembly, design, or equipment issues and recommend solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to provide and maintain personal hand tools.
- Willingness to work overtime as business needs require.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical assembly tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, position, and install mechanical and electrical components.
- Capable of safely operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment while following all safety requirements.
- Manual dexterity required for assembly, alignment, and installation of components and systems.
Job Duties
- Assemble and install mechanical and electrical components, equipment, and subassemblies according to engineering specifications and production requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
- Perform precision assembly tasks including component layout, alignment, positioning, drive systems, chains, belts, gears, and related equipment.
- Assist with equipment startup, testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuild projects.
- Operate forklifts, powered industrial trucks, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed assemblies to verify quality, functionality, and compliance with specifications.
- Identify and communicate equipment, tooling, maintenance, safety, or assembly concerns.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Production, and Field Service teams to meet quality and production goals.
- Maintain an organized work area and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional production and assembly duties as assigned.
