A growing manufacturing company in Markleville, IN is looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Specialist to lead safety compliance, drive a strong safety culture, and protect the people behind the operation. What You'll Do (Job Duties)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other federal/state regulatory requirements
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels
- Conduct incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation
- Perform risk assessments and hazard analyses to proactively mitigate workplace risks
- Support environmental compliance programs and sustainability initiatives
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and compliance assessments
- Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation
- Monitor safety performance metrics and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with leadership to strengthen safety culture and employee engagement
- Assist in developing and updating HSE policies and procedures
What You Bring (Experience and Qualifications)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
- Proven experience with incident investigations and risk assessments
- Familiarity with environmental compliance programs and reporting
- Strong communication, training, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels
