Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CNC machining certification or technical training is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
Experience Requirements
- 3 years of CNC milling machine operation experience in a custom manufacturing or high-mix production environment.
- Experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC milling equipment.
- Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and production workflows.
- Experience performing quality inspections and verifying parts meet specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- CNC programming experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with machine setup, tooling adjustments, and process optimization.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely load and unload materials, parts, and tooling.
- Capable of lifting, moving, and handling production materials as required.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts based on production demands.
Job Duties
- Operate CNC milling machines using established programs, work instructions, blueprints, and production documentation.
- Set up CNC milling equipment and troubleshoot machining issues to maintain production efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to produce accurate parts.
- Load and unload raw materials, finished parts, and tooling safely and efficiently.
- Monitor tooling for wear, damage, or breakage and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform in-process inspections and final quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
- Complete secondary operations and part-finishing tasks during machine cycle times.
- Move completed parts to designated production, staging, or inspection areas.
- Maintain production schedules and complete work orders accurately and on time.
- Support other manufacturing departments and perform additional duties as needed to meet operational goals.
