The Skills You Need To Make the Cut

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of certified operator training is required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and work instructions
• Strong mathematical skills (including measurements, ratios, and basic calculations)
• Experience with manufacturing systems or database software preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks (standing, reaching, handling materials)
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, moving machinery, and exposure to heat or fumes

How You'll Keep Production Moving

• Set up and operate conventional, special-purpose, and CNC/NC machines to produce metallic and non-metallic parts
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequences
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and materials for machining operations
• Adjust machine settings (speed, feed, coolant, depth) to ensure optimal performance
• Monitor machine operations, identify issues, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality
• Perform trial runs and verify machine setup accuracy
• Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and production teams to resolve machining issues
