Skills You'll Need
- Education:High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, or inventory role (typically 1-2 years).
- Skills: Proficiency in inventory software (e.g., SAP, barcode scanners), strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy packages, stand for long periods, and use warehouse equipment.
Your Day-to-Day
- Receiving: Unload trucks, inspect shipments for damage, verify items against purchase orders or invoices, and log materials using scanners.
- Shipping & Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and label customer orders, prepare bills of lading, and schedule outbound logistics.
- Inventory Control: Stock received items in the correct locations, conduct inventory counts, and update warehouse management systems.
- Documentation:Create packing slips, manage shipping paperwork, and maintain accurate logs of all incoming/outgoing goods.
- Safety & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all warehouse safety regulations.
