We're seeking a Accounts Receivable Clerk in Lafayette who enjoys tracking payments, logging transactions, and helping the team stay on top of deadlines. Organized? Detail-obsessed? You're exactly who we want.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 1-3 years of accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting experience preferred
- Experience with ERP or billing systems required
- Proficiency with Google Sheets or similar spreadsheet software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Experience with contract-based billing preferred
- Strong problem-solving and collections skills
Job Duties:
- Create and maintain customer accounts within the ERP/billing system
- Enter and update customer demographic and account information accurately
- Review and process customer contracts in coordination with the sales team
- Communicate with sales representatives regarding contract updates and discrepancies
- Generate accurate customer invoices based on contract terms
- Perform collections activities, including contacting customers regarding outstanding balances
- Respond to customer inquiries related to invoices, payments, and account status
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
- Support monthly billing cycles, including recurring invoicing and account maintenance
- Maintain organized records using ERP systems and Google Sheets
- Assist with month-end accounts receivable closing activities
