- 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Pay Rate:
- $26 - $32 / hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Utilities Technician to support facility operations by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on plant utility systems and equipment. In this role, you will troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of the plant’s utility infrastructure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in compliance with cGMP, GEP, and safety regulations.
- Maintain and repair facility equipment, including mechanical systems and utility infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Coordinate inspections and testing of machinery to identify and prevent malfunctions.
- Support facility projects such as renovations, equipment installation, and system upgrades.
- Assist in planning and improving utility systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and documentation.
- Install and maintain piping systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, valves, and regulators.
- Promote and follow all safety, environmental, and energy management policies.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve performance and reduce downtime.
- Supervise and support mechanical work as needed.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in maintenance operations.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of utility systems such as compressed air, boilers, HVAC, WTP, and WWTP.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and be on-call as needed.
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments (food/beverage industry preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift up to 75–100 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 25 lbs continuously.
- Exposure to loud noise in a production environment.
Education & Experience:
- Associate degree required.
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience required.
