Job Summary
The Shipping Coordinator manages customer orders, export documentation, and shipment coordination while working with customers, vendors, warehouses, and carriers. The role requires strong SAP, Excel, Word, and SharePoint skills, excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and accuracy in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and problem resolution to order inquiries and various questions or issues.
- Utilize SAP and SED to complete and maintain accurate order and material information obtained from Procurement, vendors, and other sources.
- Ensure all required export documents are complete and accurate, as well as, correctly and timely transmitted to appropriate parties.
- Work effectively with customers, vendors, warehouse team, and carriers to complete and schedule shipments according to delivery date requirements.
- Support export activities such as standard/non-standard picks, freight quoting, shipment consolidation, pricing, and related tasks.
- Provide flow-to-the-work and back-up support to enable seamless export coverage.
- Support sales order entry, quoting, sourcing, and customer-initiated claims and repairs research/resolution.
- Perform other export-related activities as requested.
Requirements
- Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills in both verbal and written format.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work accurately and independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting established metrics such as 100% daily shipping deadlines, initial customer response within 24 hours, and less than one customer service claim per month.
- Previous success in customer service, logistics, or procurement operations roles is typically desirable.
