Job Title: Fiber Analyst (Remote – USA)
Pay Rate : $40/hr W2
Job Summary
We are seeking a Fiber Analyst to analyze, validate, and troubleshoot fiber optic networks across ISP and OSP environments. This remote role involves interpreting OTDR test results, validating fiber paths, identifying issues related to signal loss, splicing, terminations, and connectivity, and providing remote guidance to field engineers during testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze OTDR test results, fiber loss, and distance validation.
- Troubleshoot fiber installation, splice points, terminations, and connectivity issues.
- Guide field engineers remotely during testing and issue resolution.
- Review network documentation, routing records, and patch panel information.
- Document findings and communicate updates to Project Managers.
- Support multiple fiber deployment projects simultaneously.
Required Skills
- Experience with fiber optic networks in ISP/OSP environments.
- Strong knowledge of OTDR testing, fiber validation, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of splicing, patch panels, ODFs, terminations, and signal loss.
- Ability to interpret fiber test results and identify root causes.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
