Job Title: Staff Pharmacist (Veterinary Pharmacy)
Location: Elizabethtown, PA (Onsite)
Duration: Contract (Potential extension through end of October)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (32–40 hours/week)
Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed Staff Pharmacist to join a busy veterinary pharmacy. The Pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing and dispensing prescriptions, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations, maintaining accurate records, supporting inventory management, and delivering exceptional customer service while collaborating with veterinary professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions received from licensed veterinarians.
- Process prescription orders via phone, fax, and electronic systems.
- Prepare, label, and dispense medications accurately and in accordance with pharmacy standards.
- Maintain prescription records, dispensing logs, and required reports.
- Answer medication-related questions from veterinary staff and customers.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory control of pharmaceutical products.
- Support pharmacy operations, including prescription entry, order processing, inventory replenishment, SharePoint/WMS activities, and order issue resolution.
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and company policies while providing excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD or Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- Active, unrestricted Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in the resident state.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, drug interactions, and pharmacy regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout the workday.
