Position: Assistant Restaurant Manager

Location: Honolulu, HI

Pay: This position has a fixed rate of $33.65/hour

Experience

• 2 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related field required.
• Prior managerial experience in the restaurant industry required.
• Experience in a high-volume food service establishment required.
  
  

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Type: Full-time; Temp to Hire

Schedule: Flexible scheduling required including weekends and holidays to accommodate business levels.

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description

• Manage restaurant operations, including opening and closing shifts
• Use various systems including OpenTable and NCR Silver Pro.
• Manage budget including labor, food, and direct operating costs.
• Staff training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Ensure the restaurant is in compliance with local alcohol beverage service requirements
• Handle guest complaint resolution and satisfaction.
• Assist with POS and general office equipment management.
  
  

Position Requirements

• Must be available to travel to other restaurant and/or bar sites for coverage as needed.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software — OpenTable and NCR Silver Pro preferred.
• Financial management skills required — ability to analyze labor, food, and direct operating costs.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet, database, and word processing programs.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; able to stand continuously throughout shift.
