The Client Account Representative is responsible for providing high-quality customer support for residential and/or commercial distribution customers. This role focuses on order processing, customer inquiries, data entry, and coordination with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, accurate documentation, and overall customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have ERP experience (SAP preferred), strong attention to detail, and light customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve customer inquiries related to order status, product information, account status, sales programs, and pricing.
- Process customer orders accurately through an ERP system (SAP preferred) via EDI, phone, email, fax, and mail.
- Review delivery due lists to align customer delivery requests with production and shipping schedules.
- Communicate professionally with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Production, Logistics, Billing, and Credit.
- Check inventory availability and provide accurate delivery dates.
- Coordinate freight quotes through the logistics function.
- Arrange shipment of product samples as requested.
- Assist with sourcing solutions for out-of-stock materials when needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation and ensure data accuracy across systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- ERP experience (SAP strongly preferred)
- Light customer service / customer care experience
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of customer-facing or administrative experience
- Experience using ERP or CRM systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
