Required Skills
- Minimum of five years of regional sales management experience, with at least two years selling to military or defense sectors preferred
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key accounts in a designated territory
- Strong relationship-building skills with distribution partners, end users, and key decision makers
- Ability to develop a professional understanding of NSA defense products, protective technologies, and related compliance requirements (Berry Amendment, TAA)
- Basic knowledge of military contracting, procurement processes, funding requests, and purchasing vehicles
- Proficiency in using Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and video conferencing tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
- Willingness to travel extensively, often in adverse weather conditions, including long-distance car and plane trips
- Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs of product samples
- Military experience or familiarity with military procurement and sales processes
- Previous experience in safety apparel or protective equipment industries
- Familiarity with U.S. government procurement policies and programs
- Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred; however, extensive sales experience and military background can substitute formal education
- At least five years in regional sales, with demonstrated success in defense or related industries
- Ability to provide weekly and bi-weekly sales reports
- Willingness to actively participate in trade shows and industry associations
- Strong organizational skills for planning travel, managing pipelines, and maintaining accurate CRM data
- Must embody a proactive and competitive sales mentality, with a drive to surpass goals
