What You’ll Bring
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, with expertise in GAAP and financial regulations
- 1-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in nonprofit accounting, with exposure to diverse grant awards, or a minimum of 7 years of comparable professional experience in lieu of a degree
- Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Sage Intacct and advanced Microsoft Excel skills highly preferred
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with a transparent, collaborative approach
- Demonstrated discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
- Prior experience working within nonprofit organizations or government grant management
- Familiarity with payroll processing and internal controls
- Experience supporting or leading financial meetings and preparing detailed reports
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
- 7 years of professional accounting experience if without a degree
- Exposure to federal, state, or local government grants, and pertinent compliance standards
- Ability to serve as a backup for payroll processing
- Willingness to support diverse business operations and team initiatives
