Position Summary
As a PRN Dental Hygienist with StaffHealth, you'll provide high-quality preventive dental care while partnering with dentists and clinical teams to deliver exceptional patient experiences. You'll play an essential role in promoting oral health, educating patients, and supporting efficient dental practice operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and preventive treatments
- Conduct oral health assessments and document patient findings
- Take and process dental X-rays (as permitted by state regulations)
- Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive services
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and treatment recommendations
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with dentists and dental teams to support patient care plans
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice
- Current CPR/BLS Certification preferred
- Local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certification (if required by state)
- Strong communication, clinical, and patient care skills
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
