Title: MIG Welder / Fabricator
Location: Leola, PA
Shift: 1st Shift (6AM–2PM) / 2nd Shift (2PM–10PM)
Job Overview:
A growing metal fabrication manufacturer is seeking an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator to join its production team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on fabrication work, takes pride in producing quality weldments, and wants to build a long-term career in manufacturing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and welding steel components from blueprints and production drawings while maintaining high standards for quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Layout, fit, and MIG weld fabricated components to print
- Verify dimensions and quality throughout the fabrication process
- Understand and apply weld symbols and fabrication requirements
- Build fixtures and fittings as required
- Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications
- Communicate production or quality concerns promptly
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience as a MIG Welder, Welder/Fitter, or Fabricator
- Experience working in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Understanding of weld symbols and welding procedures
- Proficiency using tape measures and basic measuring equipment
- Basic math skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS D1.1 certification
- Welding certificate or technical school training
- Experience building fixtures and fabrication assemblies
- Structural steel, material handling equipment, racking systems, or heavy fabrication experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting
- Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Ability to assist with team lifts up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may be hot in the summer and cold in the winter
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
