Overview

Greiner Industries is seeking a skilled Welders/Fabricators to join our team. This position will focus primarily on MIG, Flux Core, & TIG welding (depending on department) and requires proficiency in welding aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience welding/fabricating, be required to perform weld tests, read tape measures, and work at heights on platform ladders and scissor lifts. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• MIG, Flux Core, TIG Welding: Perform MIG/Flux Core/TIG welding, primarily on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel components, ensuring strong and precise welds.
• Structural & Sheet Metal Welding: Weld heavy tubing and sheet metal (14 gauge), including structural and plenum work.
• Fabrication: Assist in the fabrication of custom components, ensuring accuracy in dimensions and design specifications.
• Blueprint & Tape Measure Reading: Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine welding requirements; accurately measure and cut materials using tape measures.
• Work at Heights: Safely operate platform ladders and scissor lifts to perform welding tasks in elevated work areas.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience: 

• 2 years of welding experience, including MIG welding, structural welding, and sheet metal welding.
• Familiarity with working with blueprints, hand tools power tools, and welders
• Proficient in reading and converting fractions to decimals.

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights using platform ladders and scissor lifts.
• Ability to work in various positions, including standing, bending, kneeling, and overhead welding.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring precision and attention to detail for long periods. 
• Negative result on pre-employment and all active employment drug screens when required.
