About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect (Datacenter Networking / F5 Specialist) to join our team supporting a major state-level IT infrastructure environment in Michigan. This role will focus on configuring, securing, managing, and troubleshooting F5 systems and related networking solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in F5 modules including LTM, ASM, APM, and GTM, along with experience in Cloudflare and enterprise networking environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage F5 resources across enterprise data centers.
- Create, troubleshoot, and maintain F5 VIPs, certificates, iRules, and SAML policies.
- Remediate CVEs, manage BIGIQ backups, and ensure compliance with configuration standards.
- Collaborate with application developers and network engineers to support new implementations and resolve issues.
- Maintain and manage tickets through the Remedy Ticketing System, ensuring SLA compliance.
- Participate in design, troubleshooting, and review meetings as required.
- Provide clear, timely communication and documentation for all assigned tasks.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience with F5 technologies, including:
- F5 LTM (Virtual IPs, troubleshooting, certificate management, iRules)
- F5 ASM (policy creation, tuning, and troubleshooting)
- F5 APM (SAML configuration, troubleshooting)
- F5 GTM (Wide IP creation and configuration)
- Device-level F5 work (CVE remediation, upgrades, BIGIQ management)
- Experience working in enterprise networking environments.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to prioritize, troubleshoot, and work effectively under pressure.
- Familiarity with Cloudflare is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (required).
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule – must be onsite two days per week in Lansing, MI.
- No remote-only option.
- Local candidates preferred. Non-local candidates must be willing to relocate at their own expense.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $67.00 per hour
