Vitamin & Cosmetics Assistant manager
Hours - Full time, including weekends.
Job description overview:
Weekend supervisor
* Reports to manager and works as team leader, guiding co-workers on daily projects.
Lead staff and participate in Duties & Responsibilities - other duties may be assigned:
- Helps stock daily deliveries
- Build displays and follow project flow charts.
- Top stocking/ Back stocking/ Bulk refilling/ cleaning
- Rotates stock to assure high quality, fresh merchandise at all times.
- Notice any missing tags and help place monthly shelf tags/signs.
- Monitors pull dates on all Vitamin merchandise.
- Maintains a clean & safe work area at all times. Keeps aisles free of cardboard and overstock merchandise.
Qualifications
Positive attitude and enjoys working with people, customer service.
- Has Retail experience. Preferably in the natural channel.
- Supplement, herb and cosmetic product knowledge. Experience preferred, but not necessary.
On-the-job training is provided.
- Strong communication skills
- Possess the ability to handle high stress and volume of customers while maintaining a positive shopping experience for the customer.
- Availability requirements include, but are not limited to; days, evenings, weekends, & holidays.
- Schedule: Works weekends mid-shift and 3 weekdays.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Stand for long periods of time; walk; frequent use of hands.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Frequently lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Leading the team:
-Gives employees projects as seen needed or requested by manager
-Follows guidelines set by manager and leads employees on these guidelines.
-Supports the training of all new employees, as requested by the manager.
*Supports all department guidelines and reports any issues to the manager.
-The assistant manager has the authority to give documented verbal warnings or counseling statements to those that do not follow the rules. Communicate with manager.
*Superior customer service:
-Helps customers locate products and find answers to their product questions.
-Have the ability to diffuse all issues.
-Be capable of demonstrating great customer service to the crew.
May be asked to do additional tasks as needed by the Manager.
Salary : $18
