Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. Duties
- Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate equipment such as a forklift and order pickers to load and unload goods safely.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track inventory movement and update order statuses.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure accurate stock levels, stocking, and order picking.
- Manage shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
- Assist with inventory control by conducting stock counts and reconciling discrepancies using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
- Support order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms by efficiently picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch.
- Load and unload trucks safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the shipping department to optimize warehouse distribution processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of shipping & receiving operations.
- Experience operating forklifts.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 or similar ERP systems, and RF scanners.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and calculations related to order fulfillment.
- Knowledge of packaging standards to ensure product safety during transit.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items consistently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members across departments.
- Prior experience in e-commerce logistics or warehouse distribution is advantageous.
