Key Responsibilities
- Post-Resettlement Case and employment case manager will manage enrollment, reporting, and compliance with employment & post-Resettlement services. The case manager will be central in developing and implementing intakes/orientation, enrolling clients in services, developing service plans (Refugee Family Self-Sufficiency Plan or RFSSP), assisting clients to access special services in the community, maintaining case files, and reporting outcomes to MDHHS.
- The Post Resettlement/employment Case Manager will create case files for all clients in employment/Post services. Case files will include the following: eligibility documents, RFSSP, any expenditures made on behalf of the client, case notes documenting class participation, client contact, and all services provided to client.
- Complete case notes for all client interactions.
- Assist clients in determining family budget, employment/financial planning, immigration/documentation needs, education and training needs (including providing aptitude/skills assessments), English language training needs, childcare needs, and transportation and interpretation needs.
- Maintain regular contact with clients throughout the service period.
- Provide clients with information, referral and outreach services.
- Maintain on-going communication with other Case Managers, Job Developers, Job Trainers, ESL Teachers and other program staff to ensure client needs and requests are addressed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and behavior as a representative of the Agency and Program.
- Other duties as assigned
- Attend and actively participate in Agency and Program meetings, conferences, in-services and other meetings deemed appropriate.
- Provide interpretation and translation services, both within the Agency/Program and to outside the Agency partners, if applicable.
- Provide transportation, as deemed necessary, for DHHS, Social Security, health appointments, clothing, employment activities, supportive services, etc.
- Education: Possession of a four-year undergraduate degree (Bachelor Degree) in a human service-related field or combination of education and experience working with multicultural populations, preferably with refugees.
- Experience: Possession of a four-year undergraduate degree (Bachelor Degree) in a human service-related field or combination of education and experience working with multicultural populations, preferably with refugees.
- Required Licenses, Certifications, and Training: The Post-Resettlement /Employment Case Manager must be bilingual/multilingual in languages relevant to the current refugee population and have experience in case management. Prefer ability to work beyond the parameters of posted Agency/Program hours of operation as necessary to complete Job Responsibilities.
- Competency in basic computer programs including all MS Office programs. Fluency in MS Excel. A valid Michigan Driver License, access to reliable transportation and maintain appropriate insurance.

- Physical requirements include frequent use of hands for handling objects, tools, or controls; talking, bending, squatting, twisting, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds
- Vision requirements include close-up work, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- The work environment may involve varying degrees of physical discomfort and occasional loud noise
- Occasional driving, potentially with Clients, during the workday may be needed for operational purposes
