What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bellman/Porter position at St Michaels Harbour Inn, Marina & Spa?
We are looking for Porters to serve as our guests’ first point of contact. Responsibilities include opening doors, assisting guests with luggage, providing information regarding the features and amenities of the hotel and the surrounding town. If you have a knack for customer service and have work experience in the hotel industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods of time (indoor and outdoor areas)
- Assist in maintaining a clean and inviting lobby and corridors
- Respond to guest requests in a timely, polite, and professional manner
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required
- Various shifts based around peak hours - Day, Evening, Weekend, and Holidays are required
- Provide a copy of driving record
- Knowledge of places in town to drive guests to and from
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Hotel Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
