Responsibilities
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Ensure that all POTs and PIOs are sent to the attending physicians or authorized practitioners for review, approval and signatures in a timely manner.
- Monitors POT and PIO compliance
- Develops and maintains a collaborative relationship and openly communicates with office personnel to facilitate the return of plan or care orders and interims.
- Develops and maintains effective and efficient Orders Management procedures.
- Reports POT and PIO compliance levels to the Director of Professional Services, and others as needed.
- Escalates any issues regarding order signatures or compliance to the appropriate team members and leadership.
- Track and escalate any issues related to signatures or compliance and promptly notify the care team if there are changes to the plan of care orders, which must be reviewed by the nurse or designee.
- Participates with DOH surveys as requested.
- Participates in departmental meetings.
- Prepares reports, graphs/charts and spreadsheets that outline Physician Order process and progress as requested.
- Other duties may be assigned, as needed.
