Position Overview
St. Mary Catholic School is seeking a part-time (15 - 20 hrs/week) Middle School Math teacher for the 2026 - 2027 academic year. The Middle School Math Teacher is responsible for teaching 6th Grade and 7th Grade Math, plus 8th Grade Math or Algebra I. There is a possibility of teaching an additional subject other than Math, depending on the skill set of the applicant and the needs of the school. All teachers at St. Mary are expected to foster a Christ-centered, positive, academically excellent learning environment that nurtures the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth of each student. The teacher will integrate Catholic values into all aspects of education, maintain high academic standards, and uphold the mission and vision of the school.

- Collaborate with colleagues, especially the other middle school teachers
- Participate in school-wide functions and professional development.
- Maintain accurate records and meet all diocesan and school expectations.
Qualifications
Education, Certification, & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education required.
- Must hold or be eligible for a Washington State Teaching Certificate by the first contract day.
- Experience teaching in a classroom setting, preferably in a Catholic school.

- Strong knowledge of child development and the science of learning.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and engage all learners.
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
- Competent in using educational technology.

Salary Range
$18,000 – $55,000
Offered salary is based on diocesan-wide pay for certain positions, internal equity, market data, applicant's skills and relevant experience, degrees, and certifications. This position is eligible for employer-paid 401(a) and employee-paid 403(b), state-paid family and medical leave, and paid sick leave.
