Position Overview:
St. Mary Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, passionate Kindergarten Teacher to join our Christ-centered community. The ideal candidate will embrace the mission of Catholic education, nurturing the spiritual, academic, and social development of each child. This teacher will cultivate a classroom environment rooted in Gospel values, where students grow in their relationship with God while developing a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily instruction in religion, math, reading, writing, science, and social studies using developmentally appropriate practices
- Integrate Catholic teachings, scripture, and values into all subject areas and classroom activities
- Foster students’ spiritual growth through prayer, liturgy participation, and modeling of Christian values
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Create a nurturing, structured classroom environment that supports the whole child.
- Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support the mission of Catholic education
- Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education
- Valid Washington State teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
- A practicing Catholic who is committed to the mission and values of Catholic education
- Experience working with early childhood or elementary students preferred
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary range: $45,000 – $79,000, depending on experience and education
- Comprehensive benefits package including a retirement plan and health, dental, and vision insurance.
