Position Overview

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer performs comprehensive ultrasound examinations in accordance with ARDMS standards and established clinical protocols.

Responsibilities Include

• Performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations per physician orders
• Preparing and positioning patients to obtain optimal imaging
• Reviewing patient history and relevant clinical information
• Applying independent clinical judgment to capture anatomical and pathological findings
• Evaluating exams for technical quality and completeness
• Operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment
• Maintaining accurate documentation and imaging records
• Adhering to HIPAA, infection control, and regulatory guidelines
• Collaborating with radiologists and healthcare professionals
  
  

This role emphasizes technical precision, independent judgment, and patient-centered care within a structured outpatient workflow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program (CAAHEP preferred)
• ARDMS registered or registry eligible required
• Minimum of six months of clinical experience preferred
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
• Strong attention to detail and independent decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  
  

Schedule & Compensation

• $36.00 – $40.00 per hour, based on experience and credentials
• Flexible employment status: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Per Diem
