Diagnostic Sonographer (OB/GYN)

Location: Oswego, NY

Job Type: Full-Time

Shifts: Mon - Fri (40 hours per week & No nights, weekends, or on-call)

Settings: Outpatient clinic

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate OB/GYN Sonographer (Diagnostic Sonographer (OB/GYN) to join a well-established, three-physician practice in Oswego, NY. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing high-quality prenatal and gynecological ultrasounds while providing excellent patient care. This position offers a stable schedule with no nights, weekends, or on-call requirements.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including:
• Obstetric (prenatal) ultrasounds
• Gynecological ultrasounds
• Abdominal ultrasounds as needed
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, including GE Voluson Signature 20 (3D/4D)
• Ensure accurate imaging and proper documentation of findings
• Collaborate with physicians, certified nurse midwives, and physician assistants to support patient care
• Maintain and update patient records using Greenway Prime Chart EMR system
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain imaging processes clearly
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality at all times
• Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field

• Required:
• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience
• RDMS certification in OB/GYN
• Proficiency in prenatal and gynecological ultrasound imaging
• Preferred:
• Experience with GE Voluson ultrasound systems
• Familiarity with Greenway Prime Chart or similar EMR systems

Pay Range: $35 - $42 per hour (based on experience)
