The RN House Supervisor will ensur e smooth, safe, and efficient clinical operations across the entire hospital. Th e RN Supervisor i s the administrative representative of hospital leadership when management is off-site. The RN House Supervisor will ensure that staffing, patient care, crisis response, and interdepartmental coordination are handled without interruption.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- May directly intervene in emergency situations, including patient codes, Rapid Response activations, or behavioral escalations
- Monitors patient flow: supervise bed availability and coordinates admissions, discharges, and inter-unit transfers
- Work closely with the emergency department (ED), intensive care units (ICU), med-surg floors, and ancillary departments (lab, imaging, pharmacy) to avoid bottlenecks
- Manage staffing by evaluating unit needs based on census, patient acuity, and absences; reallocates existing staff and coordinates float pool, per diem, or agency support
- Prepare comprehensive shift reports and documents critical incidents—including patient complaints, staff conflicts, injuries, and safety concerns
- Oversee hospital operations during assigned shifts, ensuring quality care, efficient patient flow, and staff coordination in the absence of administrative leadership
- Supports staff, assist with urgent procedures and staffing, ensure RN staff orientation, and promote a positive patient experience
Education, Work Experience & Qualifications:
- Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- One (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
