Position Summary

Position Summary:

St. David's is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Long-Term Substitute Teacher to teach 8th Grade Science. Facilities Director

The Facilities Director oversees the maintenance and operation of school grounds, buildings, and related services to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on management of daily operations, including maintenance, custodial services, landscaping, event setup, and construction projects. Responsibilities include supervising staff and vendors, supporting school operations and events, and driving long-term planning for facilities and infrastructure.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and manage the facilities team, ensuring adherence to policies, performance standards, and professional development.

Qualifications:

Part-Time Bus Driver

St. David's School is seeking a part-time bus driver with a flexible schedule to drive for school field trips and extra-curricular activities.

Under the direction of the Assistant Athletics Director, the bus driver must provide safe transportation to and from athletic/event sites while maintaining a supportive and positive atomosphere. May also provide support in other areas as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Possess appropriate class license (CDL).
  • Knowledge of the rules/guidelines related to vans and commercial passenger vehicles (bus) where applicable to ensure bus transportation provided is in complicance with the NCDOT regulations.
  • Desire and ability to work with children.
  • Track record of building relationships with staff, volunteers, and parents.

Accountabilities:

  • Work as a team member with other staff.
  • Communicate effectively with children, their parents, coaches and other St. David's School staff.
  • Report any concerns to your supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding personal information on children and staff.
  • Take direction from Director.

Job Type: Part-time, non-exempt.

Hours: 15-25 hours per week maximum

Additional Information:

Potential candidates are required to pass a background test and drug screen prior to being hired. Note: St. David's will provide opportunities to obtain both at no expense to applicant.

Coaching

Coaching-Pursuing athletic excellence through faith, virtue, and knowledge.

God has given each of us special skills, and this is especially true for sports coaches. Coaches teach students how to play the games by the rules, but also in a Godly way-the way of a good sportsman. Through training the students condition their bodies for the games and they expand their minds through teamwork and leadership, things that prepare them for growing as adults.

"Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor's crown unless he competes according to the rules." -2 Timothy 2:5

To be a coach at St. David's School, you must be a follower of Jesus Christ with a desire to serve in a Christian learning environment. You must be well versed in the sport that you desire to coach and must have playing experience at the high school level or above. Prior coaching experience is preferred, and you must have a solid understanding of coaching concepts and exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Above all, you must believe that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.
