Position Summary

St. David’s School is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Spanish Teacher to teach students in pre-kindergarten through grade 4 for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year, ending May 2026. The ideal candidate will foster a love of language learning and cultural appreciation through engaging, age-appropriate instruction. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver dynamic Spanish lessons for PK-4 students that develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications

Athletic Trainer

Position Summary:

St. David’s School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Athletic Trainer to join our Christ-centered educational community. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for middle and upper school student-athletes. This role supports the mission of St. David’s by promoting physical wellness and safety while modeling Christian character and servant leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site injury assessment and immediate care during practices and games.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs and rehabilitation plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and progress.
  • Collaborate with coaches, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure student-athlete safety.
  • Manage inventory and maintenance of athletic training supplies and equipment.
  • Educate student-athletes on health, nutrition, and injury prevention.
  • Uphold the values and mission of St. David’s School in all interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in athletic training or related field.
  • Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure by the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners.
  • Current CPR/AED certification required.
  • Experience working with middle and high school students preferred.

Varsity Baseball Coach

Varsity Baseball Coach

St. David’s School is seeking a dynamic mission-aligned Varsity Baseball Coach ready to build and take the baseball program to the next level. Reporting to the Athletics Director, the varsity baseball coach will oversee the baseball program, ensuring there is cohesion and proper development between its Middle School and Varsity teams. The varsity coach will also work to establish partnerships with various baseball organizations to attract baseball players to St. David’s as student-athlete while also managing our baseball field use both internally and externally.

  • Oversee entire baseball program at St. David’s programmatically and developmentally
  • Plan, prepare, and execute practice and trainings during the season
  • Offer opportunities to hold off-season workouts and trainings for interested students
  • Help to recruit student-athletes interested in playing baseball to attend St. David’s as a student-athlete
  • Build relationships with local baseball programs to attract players to come to St. David’s
  • Opportunity to manage baseball field at the Jose Cornejo Satellite Complex to outside groups wanting to rent and use field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Christian faith
  • Experience coaching baseball at the youth level
  • Experience playing baseball at the next level (college, professionally, etc.)
  • Ability to build relationships connecting our school's mission to the game of baseball

Part-Time Bus Driver

St. David's School is seeking a part-time bus driver with a flexible schedule to drive for school field trips and extra-curricular activities.

Under the direction of the Assistant Athletics Director, the bus driver must provide safe transportation to and from athletic/event sites while maintaining a supportive and positive atomosphere. May also provide support in other areas as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Possess appropriate class license (CDL).
  • Knowledge of the rules/guidelines related to vans and commercial passenger vehicles (bus) where applicable to ensure bus transportation provided is in complicance with the NCDOT regulations.
  • Desire and ability to work with children.
  • Track record of building relationships with staff, volunteers, and parents.

Accountabilities:

  • Work as a team member with other staff.
  • Communicate effectively with children, their parents, coaches and other St. David's School staff.
  • Report any concerns to your supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding personal information on children and staff.
  • Take direction from Director.

Job Type: Part-time, non-exempt.

Hours: 15-25 hours per week maximum

Additional Information:

Potential candidates are required to pass a background test and drug screen prior to being hired. Note: St. David's will provide opportunities to obtain both at no expense to applicant.

Coaching

Coaching-Pursuing athletic excellence through faith, virtue, and knowledge.

God has given each of us special skills, and this is especially true for sports coaches. Coaches teach students how to play the games by the rules, but also in a Godly way-the way of a good sportsman. Through training the students condition their bodies for the games and they expand their minds through teamwork and leadership, things that prepare them for growing as adults.

"Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor's crown unless he competes according to the rules." -2 Timothy 2:5

To be a coach at St. David's School, you must be a follower of Jesus Christ with a desire to serve in a Christian learning environment. You must be well versed in the sport that you desire to coach and must have playing experience at the high school level or above. Prior coaching experience is preferred, and you must have a solid understanding of coaching concepts and exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Above all, you must believe that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.
