Children's House Assistant Teacher
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:45 - 4:15 p.m.

St. Croix Montessori School is seeking a warm, dependable, and collaborative individual to join our Children's House (ages 3–6) teaching team as a full-time Assistant Teacher.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, values teamwork, and wants to be part of a school community dedicated to helping children develop independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Responsibilities
- Support the Montessori Guide in maintaining a calm, organized, and engaging classroom.
- Assist children with classroom routines while encouraging independence and self-care.
- Prepare and maintain classroom materials and learning environments.
- Supervise children indoors and outdoors, including nature-based activities on our 17-acre campus.
- Model kindness, patience, and respectful interactions with children.
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and communicate professionally with families and staff.
Qualifications
- Experience working with preschool-aged children or in an early childhood setting preferred.
- Associate's Degree (AA), Child Development Associate (CDA), or other qualification meeting Minnesota Rule 3 licensing requirements.
- Montessori experience is welcomed but not required.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Able to lift young children, sit on the floor, and work indoors and outdoors throughout the year.
- Must pass a background study and meet Minnesota DHS Rule 3 licensing requirements.
