St. Croix Montessori School is seeking a caring, dependable, and collaborative individual to join our Toddler program as a full-time Assistant Teacher. If you enjoy working with young children and want to be part of a supportive team in a beautiful Montessori environment, we would love to meet you.
Our Toddler program serves children ages 16–33 months and focuses on fostering independence, language, movement, and a love of learning in a calm and respectful environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Montessori Guide in preparing and maintaining the classroom.
- Assist children with daily routines, including toileting, dressing, meals, and transitions.
- Encourage independence through respectful guidance and positive interactions.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment.
- Supervise children during outdoor play and nature exploration.
Qualifications
- Experience working with toddlers or young children preferred.
- Associate's Degree (AA) or Child Development Associate (CDA) required to meet Minnesota Rule 3 licensing requirements.
- Interest in Montessori education (experience is a plus but not required).
- Reliable and positive.
- Able to lift and carry young children, sit on the floor, and work both indoors and outdoors year-round.
- Must pass a background study and meet Minnesota DHS Rule 3 licensing requirements.
