What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at St. Croix Casino?
Friday-Monday 7am-3pm
RATE OF PAY: $16.63 *Possible Pay Increase of 0% - 3% After 90 Days.
JOB SUMMARY: Provide quality food with excellent presentation to every guest.
QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. Previous kitchen experience with advanced skills. Ability to follow and extend recipes. Organizational skills with the ability to read and understand a Kitchen Conversion chart. Requires 2 years' experience.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift up to fifty pounds. Ability to tolerate an area containing secondary smoke. Ability to stand, bend and walk for eight (8) hours and tolerate excessive heat generated in the Kitchen.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Check with Sous Chef for special instructions. Communicate with previous shift for status of all items in station. Gather and check for quality of all food items required for service period. Prep products for service of future use. Properly store and rotate all products. Report any problems to Sous Chef. Assist in setting up and maintaining work area. Handle any concerns and questions from guests and Dining Room staff. Use proper sanitation practices and maintain clean work area.
Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory trainings. Must comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
