JOB SUMMARY: Greet guests with a positive attitude and professional manner. Assist and serve the customer. Answer any questions the guests may have and resolve any situations or problems. Retail clerks are responsible for providing the retail department with adequate service to operate efficiently. This includes answering the telephone and using proper phone etiquette and customer service. Answer telephones, make reservations, and promote the Campground when the RV registration building is closed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience with extensive public contact and telephone techniques desired. Customer service and cash register experience preferred. Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language. Must be able to run a cash register and count back change, so good math skills are preferred. A math test will be required to be considered for the position.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must possess strong communication skills, a professional attitude, have a personable and friendly personality, and have the ability to work independently or in a group effort. Must be flexible with schedule. Must be able to handle multiple projects with the added ability to prioritize such projects, and will need to be able to move quickly to problem areas. Must be able to stoop, twist, bend, and stand for a full eight (8) hour shift. Must be able to work in an intense and fast paced environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform the required job duties. Will need to speak, read, and write in English, and respond to written and oral directions. Must be capable of lifting and bending or carrying up to fifty (50) pounds. Employees are expected to keep up with the proper hygiene and appearance, your appearance is a reflection of self-respect and the first impression guests receive of our level of professionalism. Clean hands and gloves when working with food is required, proper handling of food is most critical.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: To greet and assist the customers in the finding of desired products. Stock, restock, clean, and dust shelves. Heat food, keep track of lottery terminal, and maintain clean and debris free fuel dispensers. Adequately account for products that are sold, and be accountable for the money in the cash registers. Assist in the training of new employees as directed. Perform all duties required to assist guests with reservations, check-in, and checking out.
Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory trainings. Must comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
