Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the company's outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of all accounts payable transactions. Your expertise will support our commitment to financial integrity and operational efficiency. Responsibilities
–Process high-volume invoices
-Credit card accounts – collection of receipts from managers and coding.
–Review invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper taxes, job numbers, discounts, and general ledger coding
–Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, including rejected invoices and tax issues
–Self-assess sales tax where applicable and verify tax-exempt status when required
–Communicate with vendors via phone and email to resolve payment and invoice issues
–Perform statement reconciliations prior to check runs to prevent duplicates and ensure accuracy
–Research and resolve discrepancies such as overpayments, short payments, and missing invoices
–Match payment remittances with checks and prepare mailings, including operating stamping equipment
–Contribute ideas for continuous improvement of accounts payable processes
-Miscellaneous duties pertaining to an accounting office.
-Quickbooks experience
