Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide clear directions to enhance their event experience
- Assist with setup and breakdown of event equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety
- Manage crowd control and resolve conflicts swiftly using effective conflict management techniques
- Support food service operations, including food handling, cash transactions, and POS system usage
- Conduct safety checks, including manual handling tasks and adherence to safety protocols
- Provide first aid or CPR if needed, ensuring guest safety at all times
- Support outdoor work activities such as setting up tents, signage, or outdoor equipment while following safety guidelines
- Engage with children and families to create a welcoming environment during family-friendly events
- Handle cash processing accurately and maintain proper records of transactions
- Communicate effectively with team members and guests through public speaking or information dissemination
Experience
- Previous experience in events management or hospitality is highly desirable
- Familiarity with event venue operations or outdoor work environments is a plus
- Experience working with children or in family-oriented settings enhances your suitability for this role
- Retail sales experience and cash handling skills are beneficial for managing transactions efficiently
- Knowledge of safety protocols including first aid, CPR, lifeguard experience, or food service certifications is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with POS systems and manual handling procedures is preferred
- Background in theater, resort activities, or public speaking roles can contribute to excellent guest interaction skills
