Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity and ensure physical security of the premises.
- Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, and vendors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including perimeter checks and interior inspections, to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats; operate AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and Taser devices when necessary.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities; maintain accurate logs of daily activities and incidents.
- Perform background checks on new employees or contractors as part of compliance procedures.
- Engage in conflict de-escalation techniques to manage disputes calmly and professionally while ensuring safety for all parties involved.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields with knowledge of physical security practices.
- Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV operation and monitoring.
- Certified in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or incident management.
- Skilled in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity.
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and performing background checks is preferred.
- Proficient in operating access control systems and CCTV technology; experience with firearm handling and Taser use is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively under pressure.
- Capable of patrolling large areas on foot or vehicle while maintaining alertness; physically fit to meet the demands of the role.
- Committed to compliance with all security regulations, policies, and safety standards; adept at conflict management and de-escalation techniques.
