Position Summary:
The Lobby Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and welcoming atmosphere of all public areas within the hotel. This includes the lobby, restrooms, hallways, elevators, and other assigned public spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, take pride in their work, and contribute to a positive guest experience by keeping the hotel’s public areas clean, safe, and inviting at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain all public areas including the lobby, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and entrances.
- Dust, mop, vacuum, and polish floors, furniture, and fixtures.
- Empty trash and recycling bins in public areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of glass doors, windows, and surfaces throughout the lobby and common spaces.
- Ensure public restrooms are clean, stocked, and inspected regularly.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or spills to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Assist with setting up or removing furniture for events or meetings as needed.
- Replenish cleaning supplies, paper products, and amenities in designated areas.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.
- Follow all safety, security, and company policies and procedures.
- Provide friendly, courteous service and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
Work Environment:
- Indoor hotel environment with frequent guest interaction.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals (protective gear provided).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.75 - $16.19 per hour
