Test Technician (Contract – 2nd Shift)
📍 Location: Franksville, WI (Onsite)
🕒 Shift: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
⏱ Overtime: Very rare
📄 Engagement: Contract role
Training: First 2 weeks on 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), then transition to 2nd shift.
We are seeking a Test Technician to support electrical and high-voltage testing activities in a controlled laboratory/manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to follow test procedures and standards precisely.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and configure high-voltage test setups in accordance with test plans and applicable standards (IEEE / IEC)
- Perform AC/DC dielectric, impulse, and related electrical tests on components and assemblies
- Monitor test equipment, verify readings, and accurately document results in test logs and reports
- Ensure proper use of PPE and strict adherence to all safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with 5S standards
- Complete and maintain required test documentation for traceability and audits
- Identify and report anomalies or questionable results to the Supervisor
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and test procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Critical Requirements (Must-Have)
- Basic knowledge of electrical principles and safety practices
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
- Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures
- Associate degree from an accredited institution (flexible based on experience)
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in a high-voltage environment
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication skills
Nice-to-Have / Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in high-voltage testing or electrical laboratory work
- Familiarity with IEEE / IEC test standards
- Experience working with high-voltage equipment
- Associate degree in Electrical Technology or a related field
