Responsibilities
- Support product and process solutions by applying fundamental drafting principles and design concept understanding in a real-time fabrication environment.
- Create drafted parts and product structures and make model definition changes based on engineering input.
- Collaborate with engineering, Design, Stress, Quality, Manufacturing, and supplier teams to address materials and process challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
- Produce requirements, specifications, and related documents that help manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.
- Associate degree and typical experience in drafting classification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic understanding and usage of computer aided design.
- Basic understanding of product structure, including details, parts, assemblies, and installations.
- Understanding of machining of metallic parts.
- 9 years of experience working with aerospace design, including detail and assembly parts.
- CATIA or equivalent solid modeling experience, and Integrated Visualization Tool (IVT) use and experience.
