Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Developer to join a large Agile/Scrum team supporting critical banking applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle database development and experience working with large-scale data systems in the banking or financial domain.
Team Environment:
- Agile/Scrum methodology
- Team size: 25 30 members
- Collaborative, fast-paced development environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical design and development of software solutions
- Design and implement solutions for complex business requirements
- Prepare technical and procedural documentation
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
- Review coding, testing, and documentation standards
- Apply modern development practices to enhance business capabilities
Required Skills:
- Expert-level experience in Oracle Database Development (PL/SQL)
- Strong experience in performance tuning of Oracle queries
- Extensive experience with large-scale database design and programming
- Strong knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
- Experience in banking or financial industry applications (regulatory systems preferred)
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Teradata or other databases
- Familiarity with DevOps tools
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Informatica)
- Knowledge of Python and Shell scripting
Soft Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience acting as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC)
- Ability to lead problem-solving efforts and support team members
