Job Title: Production and Inventory Control Planner

Location: Elk River, Minnesota (On-Site)

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Production Planner / Production Control Specialist to coordinate materials, production schedules, and cross-functional activities to ensure on-time customer delivery and efficient production flow.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor production schedules, production orders, and material availability
• Analyze material shortages and proactively develop recovery plans
• Create, maintain, adjust, split, and release shop orders based on customer and production requirements
• Maintain accurate planning data within ERP/MRP systems, including routings, lead times, and order status
• Coordinate daily production meetings with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other teams Balance customer demand with production capacity and machine availability
• Monitor the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and adjust plans to support on-time delivery Minimize customer shortages, excess inventory, and work-in-process
• Identify and escalate risks related to materials, capacity, and customer commitments
• Support new product introduction from prototype through volume production
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and 5S initiatives
  
  

Required:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 2 years of experience in production planning, production scheduling, or production control within an MRP-driven manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of MRP, ERP, capacity planning, and machine shop scheduling
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Kanban
  
  

Oracle Or Comparable ERP Experience Preferred

Strong Excel and data analysis skills

• Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, routings, and work instructions
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Service, suppliers, and customers
