Job Summary: We are seeking a talented individual to provide hands-on support in the fabrication, assembly, and testing of electro/mechanical systems vital for spaceflight operations. Our team plays a critical role in building, verifying, and improving high-quality components that support safe human spaceflight for the company.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly, test, modification, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical components and systems based on schematics, diagrams, and defined plans.
- Collaborate with engineering to implement best practices and improvements for new and updated designs during the assembly process.
- Carry out operational testing, fault isolation, and repairs on various avionics and hardware assemblies, following relevant standards and specifications.
- Contribute to quality assurance by inspecting and certifying completed work and providing regular input on manufacturing process enhancements.
- Three or more years of experience in Aerospace Avionics or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience with application and removal of polymerics including staking, potting, encapsulation, and conformal coating on hardware or PCBAs.
- Familiarity with ESD EPA environments, tool control/accountability processes, and use of standard electronics assembly tools, hand soldering, and basic electronic test equipment such as multimeters and power supplies.
- Ability to fabricate, terminate, and repair/test wire harnesses, apply proper torque to fasteners/components, and work a 40-hour week (four 10-hour shifts) with occasional overtime as needed.
