Electrical Engineering Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineering Leader to manage electrical hardware development for one or more products within a multi-channel radio portfolio. This role involves both technical leadership and people management, with hands-on responsibility across the full product lifecycle.

As a key member of the management team, you will lead engineering efforts spanning design, integration, testing, operations, and customer support, while ensuring successful delivery of complex engineering programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 7 electrical engineers and interns
• Oversee electrical hardware development across multiple programs
• Drive design, integration, testing, and product support activities
• Develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and Basis of Estimates (BOE)
• Act as a liaison to Chief Engineering (CE) for assigned products
• Manage project resources, schedules, and planning
• Own financial reporting and project budget responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 9 years of relevant experience
• OR
• Master’s Degree with 7 years of relevant experience

OR

• 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading engineering project teams
• Strong experience in new product development within electrical engineering (RF, Digital, PWBA)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and complex project schedules
• Familiarity with Configuration Management tools (e.g., Agile)
• Experience with DFX (Design for Excellence) for volume manufacturing
• Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS)
• Understanding of INCOSE V-Model for product development
• Hands-on experience with test equipment such as:
• Spectrum Analyzers
• Logic Analyzers
• Signal Analyzers

Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
