Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Business Services, the Commercial Services Officer is responsible for delivering operational excellence and exceptional service to Business Banking/Commercial members by overseeing business deposit account onboarding, treasury management implementation, business online banking administration, merchant services support, and ongoing relationship servicing. This position serves as the operational liaison between Business Banking, Commercial Lending, Branch Operations, Treasury Services, Information Technology, Compliance, and third-party vendors to ensure efficient implementation and servicing of business products and services.
The Commercial Services Officer partners closely with Commercial Relationship Managers, Small Business Relationship Managers, Commercial Credit, and Member Experience teams to support portfolio growth, deepen member relationships, improve operational efficiencies, and identify opportunities for additional products and services. The position also leads operational projects, assists with new product implementation, develops business processes, and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and Credit Union policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Member Onboarding & Treasury Services
- Responsible for selling and cross-selling Credit Union services to current and potential members. Credit Union services are to be promoted using the "member benefit-based approach".
- Fully complies with the requirements of all Credit Union policies, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and OFAC Policies.
- Coordinate and manage onboarding for all Business Banking deposit relationships.
- Implement and support Treasury Management services including but not limited to: ACH Origination, Wire Services, Remote Deposit Capture, Positive Pay, Business Online Banking, Merchant Processing, Extended Deposit Insurance Programs
- Ensure timely implementation of new membership onboarding and treasury services while maintaining superior member experience.
- Serve as the primary operational resource for complex business and commercial deposit relationships.
- Assist members with ongoing maintenance, account updates, authorized signer changes, and service modifications.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for business online banking and treasury-related issues.
Business Banking Operations
- Develop and maintain expertise in all Business Banking products, treasury services, digital banking platforms, operating systems, and supporting technologies.
- Maintain documentation supporting business account setup, operational procedures, and service implementation.
- Review documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with Operations and Business Services to resolve operational issues.
- Support annual reviews by collecting and maintaining required financial documentation.
- Assist commercial lenders with documentation necessary for loan servicing and relationship management.
- Participate in testing and implementation of new products, systems, and software enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiencies.
Member Relationship Development
- Build trusted relationships with Business Banking and Commercial members by delivering timely, accurate, and consultative service.
- Identify opportunities to deepen relationships through treasury services, deposit products, merchant services, lending referrals, and digital banking solutions.
- Collaborate with Commercial Relationship Managers and Small Business Relationship Managers to provide comprehensive financial solutions.
- Promote Credit Union products using a member benefit-based approach.
- Respond promptly to member inquiries and proactively communicate throughout implementation and servicing.
Operational Excellence & Collaboration
- Partner with internal departments to ensure successful delivery of Business Banking services.
- Collaborate with all departments within the Credit Union, including but not limited to: Commercial Lending, Credit Administration, Deposit Operations and Business Services, Information Technology, Retail Branch Network, Contact Center, Compliance, and Marketing.
- Participate in organizational projects related to Business Banking initiatives.
- Assist with development of procedures, workflows, and training materials.
- Support product launches and system enhancements.
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance member experience.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Develops and updates monitoring and rating systems, methods, forms and processes for the department.
- Fully complies with the requirements of all Credit Union policies, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, NACHA Rules, and OFAC Policies.
- Reviews internal and external marketing and training materials as related to Business Banking along with Compliance for accuracy and to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of member information.
- Monitor operational processes for compliance with internal controls.
- Assist with audit requests and regulatory examinations.
- Ensure documentation meets regulatory and operational standards.
Business Development & Community Engagement
- Represent SRP Federal Credit Union professionally within the community.
- Participate in networking opportunities and business development events.
- Support organizational growth initiatives.
- Maintain current knowledge of treasury management trends and industry best practices.
Other Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental meetings and training.
- Cross-train team members to ensure operational continuity.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in Business Banking, Treasury Management, Commercial Lending Support, or Business Deposit Operations preferred.
- Experience implementing treasury management services preferred.
- Financial institution experience required.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with business banking platforms such as: Symitar, nCino, MeridianLink, Alkami Business Banking, ACH systems, Positive Pay platforms, Remote Deposit Capture systems preferred.

Salary : $53,497 - $64,845
