Your Mission & Key Responsibilities
Your mission is to develop, inspire, and elevate our Ready Mix Operators, ensuring every employee is set up for long-term success while strengthening our culture across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, interview, and select top-tier CDL and Ready Mix Operator candidates
- Lead engaging and impactful new hire orientation and onboarding programs
- Train and develop Ready Mix Drivers/Operators on safety, quality, and operational excellence
- Mentor, manage, and support plant-level trainers, ensuring consistent and high-quality training across locations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidate experience, coordinating with recruiting and HR teams
- Travel regionally to evaluate training effectiveness, provide coaching, and support field teams
- Promote and uphold SRM’s 5 Principles: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, and Go-Getter mindset
- Foster a strong workplace culture focused on recognition, encouragement, and employee development
- Support ongoing training programs, performance improvement, and workforce development initiatives

Qualifications
- Proven experience in training, coaching, hiring, or leadership roles
- Strong passion for employee development and mentorship
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to build trust, provide feedback, and develop high-performing teams
- Experience working with or understanding CDL drivers, trucking, or construction operations
- CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred for credibility and hands-on training
- Proficiency with technology and systems (email, scheduling tools, training platforms, applicant tracking systems)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training programs and locations
- A mindset focused on culture-building, accountability, and continuous improvement
